A New Era for the Stock Market: The Biggest IPOs of the Year

The stock market has been incredibly busy lately with a massive wave of new companies going public this year. After a really quiet period, we are finally seeing a huge boom in initial public offerings, especially in tech, energy, and space. The biggest story by far is SpaceX. Elon Musk finally took it public in June, and it was the largest IPO in history, raising billions. The stock price was pretty wild at first, jumping way up before settling down a bit, but it is a huge deal for people wanting to invest in commercial space and satellite internet.

Beyond space, artificial intelligence is still driving a lot of the market. Companies making the specialized computer chips and infrastructure needed for AI, like Cerebras Systems, are jumping in. We even saw a massive quantum computing company called Quantinuum go public, which is a big bet on the future of processing power.

It is not all just software and chips, though. Because AI needs so much electricity, investors are pouring money into clean energy infrastructure, like advanced nuclear power companies. Biotech is also having a good run with some major healthcare startups hitting the market.

Looking ahead, everyone is waiting to see if the big AI creators like OpenAI or Anthropic will make their debut by the end of the year. It is an exciting time to watch the markets, but as with any newly listed company, these stocks can be pretty volatile while they find their footing.
